You will serve as a INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the FACILITIES AND LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT OFFICE of NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL.

Duties

You will have knowledge and skill in applying judgement and analysis to resolve supply related problems and performing common recurring assignments to include analytical assignments. You will have knowledge of pertinent existing policy and procedures affecting supply related functions. You will have the ability to analyze independently and resolve difficult issues and problems in the assigned area of responsibility involving, for example, supply processes, work methods, supply data management, or day to day operational procedures. You will have knowledge of interrelated supply processes to develop an/or implement procedures and practices to cover multiple supply objectives including inventory management of supply stock fund for expendable and nonexpendable items. You will exercise skill and judgement in applying supply management concepts, and organizing inventory management assignments

  • The work requires strenuous physical activity such as, bending, standing for long periods, carrying and stacking of items such as large boxes, files, catalogues, equipment, etc., and frequent lifting of items over 35 pounds and up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrating the ability to understand complex instructions and perform the required tasks; 2) Exhibiting the ability to perform analytical research for special projects and reports, such as resolving reporting and in-transit discrepancies; and 3) Demonstrating the ability to work with and advise multiple agencies on a daily basis. Education

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
