Duties
This position is within the Publishing Branch (PUB), Student Services Division (SSD) under the Mission & Readiness Support Directorate (MRSD), and located in, Glynco, Georgia. Serving as a Printing Services Specialist makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) team and mission. The primary purpose of the position is to provide printing management planning and support to PUB. Typical work assignments include:
Requirements
- You must successfully pass a background investigation.

- You will be required to complete an OGE 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, within 30 days of starting your federal employment and annually thereafter as long as you occupy a position that requires financial disclosure reporting.

- This position is eligible for situational-only telework based on agency policy.

The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement.You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one of the following:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the federal service performing substantive administrative support or policy functions directly related to publishing and printing program management or operations, which includes determining specifications for the printing of camera ready copy or electronic file media, i.e., selection of graphic design layout, composition, format, paper stock, and other printer's instructions and experience in negotiating or administering contracts for procurement of printing, binding and allied services; planning, estimating, and scheduling printing for publications; and performing production control work; OR
Successful completion of Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in journalism, business administration, English composition, commerce, accounting, printing or printing engineering, graphic or commercial art, industrial engineering, or economics; OR
Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree with major study in journalism, business administration, English composition, commerce, accounting, printing or printing engineering, graphic or commercial art, industrial engineering, or economics; OR
A combination of successfully completed graduate level education and experience. Only graduate education in excess of the first 36 semester hours will be combined with the specialized experience. This will be calculated using your resume and transcripts submitted with your application.
College Transcripts are required if using education substitution.
Time in Grade: Current and former Federal GS employees must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. The time-in-grade requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
