The ideal candidate for this position will possess an unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), with experience delivering/coordinating the delivery of psychosocial services and mental health programs, providing consultation and support after traumatic events, and facilitating trainings, workshops and/or group discussions related to psychoeducation and mental health.

Qualifications

All qualifications and eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. This position has an Individual Occupational Requirement (basic requirements):  Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. or Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. or Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. In addition to meeting the basic requirements above, candidates must also meet the specialized experience requirements to qualify for this position as the IC-12 level (starting salary $84,025). This means you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (IC-11) in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.  Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:     Delivering or coordinating the delivery of specialized psychosocial services and mental health programs,  Providing consultation and support to stakeholders after traumatic events and rendering professional opinions, and  Facilitating training, workshops, and/or group discussions related to psychoeducation and mental health.   Selective Placement Factor:  In addition to the basic requirements and minimum qualifications described above, you must meet the following requirement(s) to be considered qualified for the position:  Must possess an unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in at least one US State or territory.  Please read the following important information to ensure we have everything we need to consider your application: Do not copy and paste the duties, specialized experience, or occupational assessment questionnaire from this announcement into your resume as that will not be considered a demonstration of your qualifications for this position.
