You will serve as a PRODUCTION SHOP PLANNER (ELECTRICIAN) for Electrical Group (Code 950) in the Production Resources Department of PSNS and IMF.

Duties

You will review blueprints and the bill of material. You will select tools, decide on methods and techniques to use, and follow progress of work. You will work with shop supervisors and other planners in coordinating work and schedules among the several work areas of a shop. You will ensure all material meets specifications and send questionable items to laboratory for test and analysis. You will review material status inspection and inform line supervision of material problems. You will determine material and equipment needed to accomplish the work specified.

• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
