You will serve as a FACILITIES SUSTAINMENT SUPERINTENDENT in the Facility Sustainment (FS) Branch, Production Division, Public Works Department of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST. Temporary promotion NTE 1 yr with option to extend and/or make permanent.

Duties

You will coordinate work assignments with trades or shop personnel for scheduling and completion of work. You will implement safety programs to adhere to command policy and maintain the safety of the workforce. You will determine personnel, material, and equipment needed to accomplish production goals within budget and time parameters. You will discuss with higher level management on budget, staffing needs, or acquisition of property or facilities.

Requirements

  • Temporary promotion NTE 1 yr with option to extend and/or make permanent.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United State driver?s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing and planning maintenance operations to make process improvement; 2) Managing facilities operations and understanding the different trades within a Public Works organization; and 3) Supervising a diverse workforce and managing conflict resolution.
