You will serve as a Photographer of NAVAVNWARDEVCEN.
This position serves as a photographer with the responsibility to photograph and/or video record subjects, events, and activities while operating standard digital and video cameras. Additionally, the photographer will have a high degree of skill in digital editing software programs and postproduction printers. NAWDC is responsible for the direct training and oversight of all fleet naval aviation training syllabi and training curricula.
Duties
You will coordinate equipment and lighting needs to capture desired images.
You will provide quality prints for numerous command requirements; including class photos, roster board, service records, public relations, and maps.
You will maintain and calibrate all photo printers to ensure the mandatory standards of naval photography and the continued professional representation of the Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center.
You will be responsible for photographic planning (including technical setup), performance, and completion of all photographic requirements.
You will use digital video cameras for the recording of classroom briefs, training sessions, events, and testing of military equipment/hardware.
You will edit recordings to combine video and audio files, edit to improve sound quality and/or cue in audio and/or video segments.
You will work with printers/engravers such as: Brothers P-Touch label maker, Roland CAMM-1 series vinyl cutter, and Roland EGX series engraver.
You will occasionally photograph/record in a darkened projection room, aircraft hangars, or remote locations where noise, weather, equipment, or chemicals may be present.

- This position requires the ability to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 40 pounds in weight.
- This position requires that the selectee have visual acuity and accurate color discrimination (ability to distinguish between colors and shades of colors).
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector operating standard and specialized camera and film processing equipment to create and deliver high quality photography, photo editing, and video recording products for a variety of subjects and events (e.g., portraiture, awards, public relations, ceremonies, field photography involving aircraft, equipment, and target zones).
