About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, Logistics Readiness Center, Material Readiness Branch, JBLM, Plans & Operations Division Deployment Readiness Branch.

Duties

Coordinate corrective action or adjustments with the responsible activities (ammunition and explosives). Brief the supervisor on progress of assignments and potential problems and controversial issues. Check for update to DOD, DA, Army Materiel Command (AMC), Joint Munitions Command (JMC), and NTC publications. Plan and carry out assignments independently, establishes priorities, interprets and applies quality assurance and surveillance policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Prior to onboarding, incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state's driver?s license.
• This position is covered by the 1998 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C. 922) Persons convicted of misdemeanor crime of domestic violence are not eligible for the position.
• US Military license for operating government vehicles and other equipment used in the accomplishment of duties is also mandatory.
• Pre-employment physical is required and subsequent annual physicals.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds.
• Subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment provided by employer is required.

Working Conditions: Work under extremely hazardous conditions as regards to exposure to ammunition and explosives both in packaged and loose form. Work is done inside in areas that are hot, cold, damp, drafty, or poorly lighted or outside in prevailing weather conditions. Work will be performed in both a warehouse and field environment. Work may be dirty, dusty and greasy. The worker is exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruises, falls or accidents with moving equipment. Employee is required to wear safety shoes, coveralls, face shields, goggles, masks, gloves, hard hat, hearing protection and/or other safety equipment and clothing while engaged in various surveillance operations and inspections.
