You will serve as a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist in the Warehouse Operations Branch, Supply Management Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SAN DIEGO.

Duties

You will provide supply management and supervisory skills in support of branch functions, including support of other FLCSD departments. You will represent the site as the technical expert in material management, receiving, issuing and storing by providing in-depth technical advice and knowledge. You will utilize expertise in NALCOMIS and NERP systems to provide supply management support, ensuring smooth branch functions and collaboration with FLCSD and ASD departments. You will serve as the station point of contact for all matters relating to storage policies and implementation as related to individual repair parts and equipment of various weapon systems. You will meticulously analyze supply management information and procedures, concentrating on the utilization of NALCOMIS and NERP system. You will skillfully manage, direct and administer all warehouse related activities in your role as the Warehouse Operations Branch. You will develop performance standards, conduct personnel evaluations, and offer guidance on developmental needs in the work performance of employees.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Supply Management Specialist specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional that demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and skill in Supply Management to include: analyzing, developing, evaluating, or promoting improvements in the policies, plans, methods, procedures, systems, or techniques of a supply program. Resume must demonstrate knowledge and experience in supply support, material management, planning and implementing local supply policies, inventory management and aviation support. I also have experience supervising and/or leading employees to assign work, give advice, hear and resolve complaints and plan work schedules to ensure deadlines are being met. Examples of specialized experience include the following : 1) Develops and implements a plan to correct any storage discrepancies; 2) Provides material support for planned programs and special projects such as re-warehousing, relocation/rearrangement of facilities, inventory related projects and purchase of new equipment; 3) Reviews new requirements and storage adjustments as required; 4) Directs the inventory and assembly of Pack Up Kits (PUK) for issue to required squadrons aboard ships and stations as requested; 5.) Assigns work, prepares schedules, reviews and analyzes physical distribution processes and delegates changes to enhance operations, develops performance standards; and 6.) Ensures Command and department goals, policies, and priorities are communicated effectively to subordinates, while promoting safety and security, encouraging growth and acceptance of new ideas, suggestions for improvements and foster an environment which provides for employee participation and feedback.
