The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Grants Management Specialist performing grants management work that includes implementing and managing Federal Grants and cooperative agreements (CA) and providing technical assistance. Interpreting and relaying federal regulations and policies. Ability to review grant financial status reports, quarterly closeout status reports and the reconciliation of disaster project funds to include authorizations and tracking methods in NEMIS and EMMIE

Qualifications

All qualifications and eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. To qualify for this position at the IC-09 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-07 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:  Assisting leadership with implementing and managing grant management programs, Providing process improvements and recommendations concerning grant management programs; and, Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve grant program management and administration issues. OR Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LLB or J.D. ORCombination of education and experience  To qualify for this position at the IC-11 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-09 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:  Applying laws, regulations, and policies to disaster grants management operations, Providing technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders regarding grants management projects and services, and Reviewing and developing reports related to grants management activities. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.M. ORCombination of education and experience  To qualify for this position at the IC-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:  Interpreting and applying laws, regulations, and policies related to disaster grants management operations, Analyzing and/or evaluating data to assess and improve the effectiveness of grant programs; and, Providing technical advice to a variety of stakeholders regarding grants management operations.
