This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Intelligence and Analysis (l&A), Field Intelligence Directorate (FID). The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a HUMINT Collection Operations Manager (HCOM) assigned to the Field Intelligence Directorate (FID), Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A), U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Duties

The mission of I&A is to provide a full range of synchronized intelligence to support the Secretary and Department, as well as DHS partners and customers to protect the homeland. This position conducts and oversees the most complex collection of multi-source intelligence applying a comprehensive range of intelligence research, collection methods, dissemination applications and methodologies that includes the evaluation of many diverse sources of information utilizing multiple intelligence information systems to develop intelligence capability and threat assessments. I&A is a member of the national Intelligence Community (IC) and ensures that information related to protecting the homeland is collected, gathered, analyzed, and disseminated to the full spectrum of homeland security customers. I&A works closely with DHS component intelligence organizations as well as State and local partners to ensure non-traditional streams of information are fused with traditional streams from the IC to give a complete picture of threats to the nation. I&A directly supports the Under Secretary for Intelligence and Analysis in carrying out the mandate to integrate the Department's intelligence components and functions by driving a common intelligence mission and serves as the primary interface between the IC and DHS components and the homeland security community including our state and local stakeholders. • Must be able to hold a TS/SCI Security Clearance.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) and is covered by the Department of Homeland Security Headquarters Drug-Free Workplace Program.
• Overtime may be required in response to a significant event.
• Overnight Travel of 1-5 nights per month may be required.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-14 level, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through Federal service. You must have one year of specialized experience that has provided the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. For this position, specialized experience is defined as skill in applying a comprehensive range of intelligence research, collection methods, dissemination applications and methodologies that includes the evaluation of many diverse sources of information utilizing multiple intelligence information systems to develop intelligence capability and threat assessments.

Education

Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level.
