About the Position: Manages the various training administrative processes within the office and ensures that procedures meet office needs and are consistently understood and followed by the staff. Serves as subject matter expert for the management and flow of all training and administrative correspondence tasked to the Department, as well as any external taskers coming from higher headquarters, civilian personnel, training, publications control and administering support services.
Duties
Consolidate tasking input/information from all sources into comprehensive reports.
Evaluate training procedures that have an immediate impact on organizational change.
Assign all Department taskers to guarantee timely completion and accuracy.
Ensure training processes are understood consistently by staff.
Establish internal personnel records review in accordance with organization regulation procedures.
Manage a wide variety of administrative programs necessary for day-to-day operation.

- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience:One year of specialized experience which includes experience performing administrative functions in support of student training or instructing such as managing training schedules, preparing data, manpower and/or training reports. Utilizing automated systems such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to perform duties. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Logistics, Adult Learning & Leadership or Education.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond one year (total semester hours minus 18) by 9. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
