About the Position: This position supports the mission of Deputy Assistant Director Operational Support and is located in Falls Church, Virginia.

Duties

Serve as the Defense Health Agency-level Program Planner, in the Operations Division under the Deputy Assistant Director ? Combatant Command Operational Support under the AD-CS, DHA. Coordinate with both military and civilian personnel throughout the DHA Directorates both within the Defense Health Headquarters (DHHQ) and throughout the world, providing direction and setting objectives within assigned areas of responsibility. Provide oversight and guidance for program planning for the TRICARE Regional Offices (TRO), the TRICARE Area Offices (TAO) and other DHA Offsite components in over 40 locations across the globe. Perform emergency and disaster planning and real-world surveys and assessments, and assesses related policies and systems to maintain a comprehensive, flexible, integrative preparedness and response program within Defense Continuity Program Office. Develop emergency preparedness, including Emergency Management or Continuity of Operations Planning program, exercises to ensure that the DHA program plan is exercised in accordance with the exercise objectives and specifications. Work closely with other planners in the Division to develop crisis response capabilities for the entire DHA. Develop plans for a crisis response operations center to aid flow of information into, out of, and throughout the DHA.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access. A pre-employment and recurring comprehensive background investigations are required.
  • This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to consent to participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
  • Moderate to heavy lifting up to 20 pounds is required.
