About the Position: Serves as Associate Division Chief, Power Division, reporting to the Division Chief, US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command Control Communications Computers Cyber Intelligence Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center; assumes the Division Chief's responsibilities in the absence of the Chief. Responsibilities include assisting the Division Chief in leading a diverse multi-technology research, development, and technology integration Division.

Duties

Align resources, technical personnel, and technology evaluation support to meet Army goals and deliver transitionable technologies and solutions to Army customers in the field of Power and Energy. Assist the Division Chief in managing the full range of planning, defining, programming, coordinating and executing programs within the Power Division. Respond to resource actions, customer queries on progress/status. Present briefings representing the Power Division in multiple forums, both inside and outside the C5ISR Center. Knowledge of Army- and Defense-wide Power and Energy policies, procedures, regulations, initiatives, strategic plans, and objectives addressing C5ISR programs. Expert ability to establish goals, lead people, manage resources, and plan, coordinate, integrate and implement processes, procedures, and long-term strategies for a diverse organization with complex and critical responsibilities. Direct the work of Power Division professional, technician, and administrative staff. Coordinate with others within and outside the Power Division on program and collaborative efforts. Serve as a primary leader for Power Division customer support, guiding reimbursable efforts and leading communications with Army and joint power and energy customers. Proactively identify challenges and lead efforts to appropriately realign personnel to meet needs; develop stategies for personnel hiring to meet customer support goals.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
• This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
• A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
• This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet Practitioner requirements for ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT certification within 60 months as of entrance on duty.
• Three year probationary period may be required under the demonstration project for the Engineers and Scientists Occupational Family unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
• This position is designated as Mission Essential. Employee can be required to remain on duty or report for duty during contingency operations or other emergency situations.
• This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). This position requires a 3-year tenure agreement. Must sign DD Form 2888 (Critical Acquisition Position Service Agreement) and execute, as a condition of employment, a written tenure agreement.
