This position is located on Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.
The position is established on a Forest unit in support of road systems and other program areas. Incumbent operates and maintains engineering equipment.

Duties
Incumbent operates one or more types of heavy equipment, such as graders, tractors with bulldozer or angledozer blades, front-end loaders, backhoes, trench diggers, and large industrial tractors with pan or scraper attachments.
Incumbent maintains ditches, road shoulders, and beds and firelines and clears brush, tree stumps and rocks.
Review the work to be performed and adjusts equipment attachments for a set level, angle, or depth, according to the type of equipment used.
You will operate trucks over 26000 GVW with trailers, on public roads.
Requirements
- You must be a US Citizen or US National.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
- Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- Successful completion of one year probationary period, unless previously served.
- Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.

- This is a drug testing designated position. You will be subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. Appointment is based on a negative result. This announcement constitutes 30 days advance notice.

There is no specific length of training or experience required; however, the applicant must be able to demonstrate through experience shown in the resume materials that they possess the skill level that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of Engineering Equipment Operator without more than normal supervision.
