This position is part of the Office of Economic Impact and Diversity, Department of Energy. As a Equal Employment Manager, you will be serving as the Equal Employment Opportunity Manager administering the equal employment program for EMBC, and it's field level organizations in supervising and directing
staff performing EEO functions.

- New supervisors/managers are required to serve a one-year probationary period.
- New supervisors are required to complete 80 hours of supervisory training of which 40 hours must be completed during your first year as a supervisor.
- This position is not included in a Bargaining Agreement.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Developing an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Diversity & Inclusion Programs and activities for an organization;
Managing supervisory Equal Employment Opportunity training programs that address underrepresented groups;
Developing an Alternate Dispute Resolution program (within the EEO complaint process) to reach resolution of complaints at the earliest possible stage.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. CTAP/ICTAP candidates: To be considered "well qualified" you must (1) meet all of the requirements as described in this section; and 2) be rated "well-qualified", which is defined as having a score of 85 or better.
