Duties
Provide all resource management functions in support of the Deployed Warfighter Protection (DWFP) Program in close coordination with the DWFP Program manager.
Prepare and submit a wide variety of obligation documents and monitors all accounting data including commitments, obligations, and disbursements.
Prepare weekly status of RDT and E funds reports for the DWFP Program manager and highlights any discrepancies that are 5% above or below planned obligation and execution rates for the FY.
Serve as the primary advisor to Armed Forces Pest Management Board (AFPMB) Director on all resource and financial matters, administrative controls and disbursements, and execution of AFPMB?s annual operating budget.
Provide budgetary support for the annual operation of organizational and functional activities and accounts.
Coordinate program and budget planning, formulation, justification, presentation, execution, and review for assigned Operations and Maintenance funds.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Financial Management Certification Level 2 is a requirement of this position and must be achieved by the incumbent within two years of entrance into this position.
- Failure to obtain Financial Management Certification Level 2 within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.

Basic Requirements for Budget Analyst GS-560-11:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: interpreting budget policies and regulations; preparing financial and/or budgetary reports; and maintaining financial records in automated systems.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: business, finance, or accounting.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
