This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief Engineer, Planning and Project Development Division. The selectee serves as the realty specialist and primary point of contact for AOC-wide real property and asset management strategies.

Candidates for the GS-14 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower (GS-13) grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position includes the following:
Comprehensive knowledge and experience with real property management, including acquisition, utilization, leasing and/or disposal of property for a large organization;
Planning, developing and executing strategic initiatives and business objectives for an organization’s real property program;
Providing expert advisory services, technical guidance, and leadership for real property programs and facilities for a large organization;
Formulating, interpreting and administering policies, procedures, systems and methods for the acquisition, disposal, historic preservation, utilization and management of assets and resources;
Conducting analysis and technical evaluation of real property programs, systems and activities, and recommending strategies for performance improvement; and
Serving as organizational liaison and working with internal and external entities at various levels to ensure organizational objectives are achieved (i.e. Congress and congressional staff, congressional committees, stakeholders, Federal and state government officials, program managers and industry representatives).
