About the Position: Serves as principal Executive Assistant to the Commander, Command Sergeant Major, and other members of the command group of USAMEDDAC-Ft. Campbell. Keeps abreast of mission activities, organizational structure, key personnel, status of current projects, and any issues affecting Blanchfield over which the Commander has command and/or service responsibility as well as the Commander's special interests and social obligations.
Duties
Helps with day-to-day operations by assisting and performing a wide variety of administrative, coordinative and office management duties to support the Market.
Performs daily administrative duties to include scheduling Market engagements and recurring meetings.
Distributes invitations for Market-level meetings and alerts briefers of meeting requirements.
Prepares and maintains agendas, presentations and minutes for the meetings and distributes read-ahead documentation to attendees.
Schedules and coordinates Market video and teleconferences, coordinate locations, and reserves meeting space.
Screens incoming calls and refers callers to appropriate source.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- Temporary duty travel (TDY) of 5 % may be required.
- This position is eligible for situational telework pending approval by management.
- This position has been designated Weather Essential. In the event of inclement weather conditions, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operation.
- This position may require the incumbent to work on any day or shift, including PMs, nights, weekends, holidays, or on an "on call" basis, necessary to meet mission requirements.
- This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).

In order to qualify, you must meet the education/and or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in coordinating calendars; recording and/or transcribing meeting minutes; utilizing automated systems to enter and retrieve data; maintain multiple schedules simultaneously for leaders within the organization; brief organizational leadership on status of an organization or an action; and provide customer service over the phone, electronically, and in person for the organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Human Resources, Organizational Management, Business Administration, or Healthcare Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
