Duties
As a Financial Analyst, you will perform comprehensive reviews and analyses related to the NRC's requirements for licensee financial qualifications, decommissioning funding assurance; foreign ownership, control, or domination; and insurance and indemnity programs. You will also conduct reviews and make policy recommendations; review and prepare rules and regulations, regulatory guides, standard review plans, principal correspondence, and other documents for the implementation of the Branch's programs in these areas.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
1. Analytical ability required to adequately initiate and conduct studies and reviews, and to critically evaluate data relating to indemnity, financial qualifications, decommissioning funding, property insurance for accident cleanup, and general safety regulatory issues.
2. Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and summarize complex budgetary and financial information.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in applying project management techniques.
4. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as: Experience such as performing financial analysis and evaluation work requiring a comprehensive knowledge of (1) corporate finance and any specialized fields of finance required such as public finance, securities, international finance, money and securities markets, investments, and banking, and (2) the financial and management structure, operations, and practices of corporate and other organizations.
Education
In order to qualify for this position, you must have the education or at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service (GG-13) or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- finance, business administration, economics, accounting, insurance, engineering, mathematics, banking and credit, law, real estate operations, statistics, or other fields related to the position, such as agriculture, agricultural economics, farm, livestock or ranch management, or rural sociology.

Experience such as performing financial analysis and evaluation work requiring a comprehensive knowledge of (1) corporate finance and any specialized fields of finance required such as public finance, securities, international finance, money and securities markets, investments, and banking, and (2) the financial and management structure, operations, and practices of corporate and other organizations.
