You will serve as a INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Ordnance Program, Research & Development Group/Weapons & Energetics Group of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will receive, review, and monitor incoming requisitions and takes appropriate action to ensure completion.
You will oversee status of requisitions.
You will coordinate with segregation or production when necessary to fulfill requirements.
You will originate and/or respond to correspondence to appropriate activities and maintains communication with ships and activities of all types.
You will provide detailed technical advice and assistance in areas of specialized ordnance management to support the Fleet, Navy Region Southwest, and other customers.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of an Inventory Management Specialist. Specialized experience must include duties related to the following: 1) Experience utilizing physical security regulations pertaining to Arms, Ammunition and Explosives (AA&E) in addition to movement, storage, and associated documentation. 2) Computer, written and verbal communication skills and have a working knowledge of Microsoft office products. 3) Performing ordnance management and analyzing stock levels to determine overages or shortages. 4) Identifying, reporting, verifying, and correcting discrepancies. 5) Performing inventory reconciliation and trend analysis.

Education
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D., that is related to this position being filled.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
