About the position: This position will be assigned to the Community Services flight on Hill AFB This is a Regular Full Time (RFT) position with a guaranteed minimum of 35 hours weekly, and with benefits (medical, dental, life insurance, retirement, 401(k), and annual/sick leave).

Duties

Responsible for the administrative and technical oversight of the Civilian Welfare Fund program. Manages base restaurants programs, contracts and vending machines. Performs compliance inspections and inventory checks. Serves as liaison between contractor and 75 FSS leadership. Oversees the work of at least one other cashier; instructs, and trains employee(s). Observes work in progress ensuring adherence to program objectives; provides input on performance, progress and disciplinary action. Performs receiving and disbursing cashier duties. Ensures proper identification is presented before disbursement is made. Collects checks and other supporting documentation for vending operations and base CWF restaurants. Prepares and issues change from funds as required. Prepares cash collection and vending harvest reports and notifies supervisor of any suspected irregularities. Escorts vendors to vending machines around the installation. Responsible for verifying funds taken from vending machines with the vendor and annotates on accounting harvest form for audit purposes. Evaluates daily operations of food service with Base CWF restaurants to AF Instructions and Public Health code standards. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Ability to effectively lead and carryout duties and responsibilities. Must have experience in responsible clerical or office work which includes demonstrated ability to perform common arithmetic problems, and making change when receiving payments from customers. Must also have experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit or other processing of cash items when this includes (1) direct handling of cash items, and (2) use of cash accountability control methods. Must have ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). Must be able to obtain a flight line badge and maintain access to the flight line operations for primary duties.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
