THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a RECORDS & INFO MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT), PD# D2532000 and is part of the RI 143d Communications Flight. The primary purpose of this position is to implement and administer the Knowledge Management Program within the Wing tenants and Geographically Separated Units (GSUs), if assigned, network and manual operating environments.
Duties
Works with non-homogenous work centers throughout the wing to integrate planning, development and implementation of knowledge programs and systems. Designs, builds, implements and maintains knowledge initiatives and provides a framework to ensure the harnessing of explicit knowledge. Develops integrative dashboards of data to enable informed decision making. Determines how knowledge will be structured, shared, controlled and accessible for the various needs of the organization. Defines roles and responsibilities related to data governance and provides clear accountability for stewardship of the commander's principle information assets. Administers user access controls, electronic records structure, permissions, storage, password controls and procedures using applicable security policies and regulations. Develops reports, matrices, and requests for information, as well as collaborative planning tools to ensure timely delivery of decision-quality information to organizational stakeholders. Provides customer service by assisting and educating users on authoritative data sources, data services, and presentation tools to meet organizational objectives.
Requirements
- NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. To be considered for this Title 32 Dual Status position in the Excepted Service, you must be a current RIANG Airman, or a Service Member eligible to militarily transfer into the RIANG prior to appointment.

- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- Must be certified IAW DoD 8570.01-M, Federal Information Security Management Act of 2002,Clinger Cohen Act of 1996 and obtain Special Experience Identifier (SEI) 264, IAW current AF directives.
- Must have Information Assurance ? Technical Level II (IAT II), IAW current AF directives.
- Travel to and from offsite locations from the normal work area to perform assigned duties to include Operating Locations (OL) and/or Geographically Separated Units (GSU). Due to distances involved, travel may involve one or more overnight stays.
- Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
- The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
- Individual must possess a secret clearance and may be required to obtain a top secret clearance with eligibility to access sensitive compartmented information (TS-SCI).

COMPATIBLE MILITARY / CIVILIAN EXPERIENCE:
Those holding the 1D7XX AFSC or equivalent civilian experience are strongly encouraged to apply
GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
For positions for which individual occupational requirements do not specify otherwise, general experience is 3 years of progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4, that demonstrates the ability to:
1. Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions;
2. Plan and organize work; and
3. Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 12 months on-the-job experience at the GS 09 level or equivalent experience.
Education
Substitution of Education for specialized experience - Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree from an accredited college or university meets the requirements for positions at GS-7 through GS-11. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
