This position will support Tribal, State and Local eligible applicants to develop and obligate public assistance grants in FEMA Region 9. There are several openings in both the Public Assistance Field Operations Branch and COVID Branch in the Region IX Recovery Division. To qualify for this position at the IC-09 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:
Assisting in the application of laws, regulations, policies, and procedures related to disaster assistance;
Collecting and/or tracking data and reports from a variety of sources; and,
Collaborating with stakeholders to collect, organize, and maintain information.
OR
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D
ORCombination of education and experience
To qualify for this position at the IC-11 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following:
Applying laws, regulations, and policies related to disaster management operations;
Developing presentations, reports, and technical materials in relation to emergency management programs; and,
Partnering with stakeholders to collect, explain and present emergency management information.
OR
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M.
