The ideal candidate for this position will gain experience in working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Region 5 Program Division Directors and their staff. Duties for Student volunteer interns will be based on your major and the Program Division that you will work with. FEMA is currently accepting applications for progressive thinkers who are looking for an opportunity to collaborate with new ideas and tools to support the programs that FEMA provides to the Nation.

Requirements
- You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position.
- You must successfully pass a background investigation and fingerprints.
- Selective Service registration required.
- You must maintain enrollment in an educational program.
- You must maintain a GPA of 2.5 or above.
- Must be at 16 years old.

Education
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications. Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- Must be enrolled at least part-time at an accredited academic institution.
- Applicants must also be in good academic standing as defined by their accredited educational institution.
