About the position: This is a NAF (Non-Appropriated Fund) position assigned to the 49th Force Support Squadron at the Youth Center on Holloman AFB.
Must be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing more than 50 pounds, and on occasion 80 to 100 pounds or more.
This position is Regular Part Time and comes with a full benefits package!
Duties
The primary purpose of this position is to perform manual labor tasks involving the use of heavy hand tools, and heavy power equipment.
The duties include, but are not limited to:
Loads and unloads heavy boxes, bulky supplies, and materials to and from tracks, dollies, moves heavy boxes, cartons, or supplies by hand, hand-truck, or dolly; opens crates and boxes using crowbars, and cuts bands using shears; stacks boxes and cartons where directed.
Using a shovel to loosen the dirt and fill holes with dirt and levels bumps and low places, using shovel, hand tamper, and rake to maintain garden and youth areas.
Runs hand lawnmowers or (domestic type) powered lawnmowers,
clears small trees and bushes, using handsaw, hatchet, or clipper.
Pulls weeds around facility.
Picks up outside trash around outer facilities and playgrounds
Moves and arranges furniture and program equipment as directed
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and one every three years thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- This position requires satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with Air Force and DoD policy, and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.

Qualifying Experience:
Experience which demonstrates the ability to operate, controls and clean heavy powered equipment.
Must be able to follow oral and/or written instructions.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
