About the Position: Responsible in planning, developing, presenting, executing, and evaluating complex training initiatives within the Army Recovery Care Program (ARCP), Headquarters Medical Command, Deputy Chief of Staff G-3/5/7, Synchronization Division located in Falls Church, Virginia. This position is a Term position not to exceed 3 years and may be made permanent without further competition.

Duties

Develops training and development policies to include training concepts and plans, operation orders (OPORDS) and fragmentary orders (FRAGOs) for future operations, for the Army Recovery Care Program (ARCP). Provides leadership and intervention to resolve problems, achieve program goals and objectives. Oversees and tracks command-wide training programs. Analyzes the data in relation to the agency mission, required occupations, types of positions, staffing plans, management employee relation's trends, etc. Prepares, presents and participates in directorate briefings to senior leaders throughoutthe organization on all aspects of resourcing training initiatives.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) travel is 20 percent.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • This position is obligated.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: CommunicationsData Collection and AnalysisInstructional Delivery and Learner Development Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
