This position is located at Office of the Inspector General for Tax Admin,Office of Investigations- Deputy Inspector General for Investigations. As a Secretary (OA), you will be responsible for providing effective analysis, monitoring, and execution of work related to program operations (e.g., Records Management, Inventory, Procurement, Travel, and Time and Attendance).
Duties
The following are the duties of this position at the GS-08. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position. As a Secretary (OA), you will:
- Arrange and attend various meetings, record detailed notes, and prepare notes for distribution.
- Assist the SAC or ASAC in planning, formulating, and executing various programs (e.g., space projects, inventory management, etc.).
- Coordinate training and information to divisional staff regarding administrative programs and procedures as well as changes in these areas.
- Provide assistance on resolving routine administrative problems affecting divisional operations involving budget allocations and personnel resource allocations.
- Review documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc. per TIGTA's Writing Style Guide.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Selective Factor: You must be a qualified typist with a minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute AND
Specialized Experience:
For the GS-06, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Providing clerical support assignments for an organization. Examples of such experience could include:
- Providing customer service; OR
- Answering inquiries; OR
- Reviewing files or documents for completeness and compliance; OR
- Experience with automated systems.
For the GS-07, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Applying a standardized body of rules, procedures, and operations to perform clerical support assignments for an organization. Examples of such experience could include:
- Providing customer service; OR
- Answering inquiries; OR
- Preparing and reviewing files or documents for completeness and compliance; OR
- Creating work products using word processing software and automated systems; OR
- Maintaining payroll/timecards.
For the GS-08, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Serving in a technical, clerical, or administrative support role to administer office and/or business functions and provide information to management and employees. Examples of such experience could include:
- Providing customer service; OR
- Answering inquiries; OR
- Submitting training requests; OR
- Maintaining payroll/timecards; OR
- Preparing correspondence and reports for an organization; OR
- Creating work products using word processing software and automated systems and reviewing automated systems for accuracy; OR
- Maintaining an electronic event or activity calendar for others; OR
- Maintaining a record or filing system, including experience of records retention.
