This position is located at Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Force Readiness Command (FORCECOM), Aviation Technical Training Center (ATTC), Elizabeth City, North Carolina.

Duties

In this position, the incumbent is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and reviewing resident training and distance learning material.

Requirements

  • Must have US Citizenship.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.

Qualifications

Applicant must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include experience recommending course requirements, reviewing course content, and providing instruction; and studying course materials for the purpose of developing test items. OR a master's or equivalent graduate degree, in which coursework demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work; OR2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's or equivalent degree,in which coursework demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work; OR LL.B. or J.D., if related. OR  A combination of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in or related to the work of this position AND some graduate level education that provided the specific knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position and experience. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

This position does not have a positive education requirement. If you are including education on your resume, report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
