THIS IS AN ARIZONA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA). This position is part of the AZ USPFO, Arizona National Guard under Position Description Number PDT5151000.

Duties

This position is with the United States Property and Fiscal Office (USPFO) located in Phoenix, Arizona. The purpose of this position is to provide analysis, validation, processing, and correction of financial transactions and issues/ discrepancies involving the full range of accounting services. Incumbent uses a complete understanding of inter-related work systems across multiple functional areas and their interoperability to ensure the validity and accuracy of all obligations, disbursements, collections/deposits, and adjustments related to financial records.

Requirements

• Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
• Participation in the Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer Program.
• May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
• Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
• Incumbent must possess and maintain a current state driver?s license.
• Incumbent must possess or able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance within one year of appointment.
• May be subject to other than normal duty hours.
• This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. (cont)
• This designation will not exceed 14calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.
• Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program. (cont)

Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training involving arithmetic principles, attention to detail, and application of established procedures for recording and compiling data. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:Must have at least 18 months experience, education, or training of total accounting procedures. Experience planning, organizing and coordinating work in order to resolve problems that occur.
