The selectee of this position serves as a Supervisory Program Support Specialist responsible for maintaining and implementing internal controls for program areas and serving as an assistant to the District's Administrative Officer.
This position is with the Middle District of Florida. The position may be filled at district headquarters in Tampa or at a district office located in Fort Myers, Jacksonville, or Orlando.
Duties
As a Supervisory Program Support Specialist at the GS-0301-12 grade level, some of your typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Supervising subordinate administrative staff.
Working closely with the Administrative Officer (AO) on implementing processes for providing administrative services for the district's main and/or sub-office(s);
Analyzing the district's financial obligations and expenditures to ensure compliance with USMS policies and procedures;
Providing advice and assistance to management on HR matters and/or issues;
Providing oversight of the property management program; and
Assuring contractors are performing projects that have quality and timeliness measures in place.

Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable determination of suitability for a Public Trust position.
- May be required to successfully complete a supervisory probationary period.
- Must be a Current U.S. Marshals Service employee and meet time-in-grade requirements for consideration. (52 weeks at the next lower grade level)

Qualifications
TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit Promotion applicants must provide an SF50 Notice of Personnel Action that indicates proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility. The SF50 must include the position, title, series, grade, step, tenure, type of service (Competitive or Excepted) and career status (career or career-conditional). No award SF50 will be accepted as proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility.
One year at the GS-11 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 grade level.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the education and/or experience required for the grade level(s) to which you apply.
To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, you must meet the following:
Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties:
Providing oversight of office administrative services in order to investigate, evaluate and resolve a variety of problems and/or conditions;
Monitoring a budget to ensure that funds are obligated;
Compiling, reviewing and analyzing report data for completeness and accuracy;
Serving as a liaison between management and the human resources office in order to provide advice and assistance on HR matters; and
Monitoring, and/or approving, and controlling accountable government equipment, material, and supplies.
