You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the BUDGET AND RESOURCES MANAGEMENT (CN8000) of CNATRA.

Duties

You will formulate budget and cost estimates to support plans, programs, and activities. You will present and defend budget estimates before authorities. You will review and evaluate budget requests, controls, and reporting of obligations and expenditures. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management or organization's programs and administrative operations. You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets. You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities. You will perform a variety of fiscal, accounting, or financial management duties and responsibilities.

• This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing budgetary data to determine cost effective use of funds in order to provide recommendations supporting financial or budgetary programs. Completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
