About the Position: Serve as a trained, Senior Criminal Intelligence Analyst capable of producing Army-wide analysis for consumption by senior investigative and crime prevention leaders. Exercises seasoned judgment in applying criminal intelligence techniques and evaluating validity and pertinence of data and reports for the Command.

Duties

Analyze, assimilate, and evaluate suspicious activity, threat and criminal intelligence information collected. Disseminate data through Criminal Intelligence Reports and Criminal Alert Notices and other intelligence products. Establish procedures for issues that do not appear to be easily resolved by applying generally accepted criminal intelligence methods. Consolidate and evaluate incoming criminal intelligence data, threat information and suspicious activity reports, ensuring necessary follow-up actions have been initiated. Provide statistical data for use in planning the most effective use of investigative resources. Oversee suspicious activity, threat and criminal intelligence collection within the Command, providing advice and counsel to responsible individuals. Represent the Command in direct liaison with Federal agencies, local law enforcement and criminal intelligence partners.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Required to sign a DA Form 5019-R (Condition of Employment for Certain Positions Identified as Critical Under the Drug Abuse Testing Program) and must pass urinalysis testing as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • MOBILITY AGREEMENT: Must agree, in writing, to comply with management directed permanent change of station (PCS) movement and/or deployment to support overseas contingency operations in order to meet mission requirements.
  • This position may require working irregular shifts/hours.
