You will serve as a AIRCRAFT ORDNANCE SYSTEM MECHANIC in the FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHEAST MRO PRODUCTION DEPT PROD LINES DIV of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.
Duties
You will troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, modify, overhaul, reassemble, test, install/ remove, arm and de-arm aircraft ordnance/armament systems.
You will use Aircraft Armament Systems, and Aircraft Egress Systems.
You will operate mechanisms utilizing mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical principles of operation.
You will troubleshoot, remove, repairs and install aircraft armament systems components/parts such as the M61Al gun handling system, bomb racks, missile launchers, pylon and chaff bucket assemblies.
You will install Aircraft egress system components which include: SMDC, FCDC, TLX, Fire Bottle, Dry Bay Suppression System, and other various explosive devices in the egress systems.
Requirements

- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Troubleshooting, disassembling, repairing and overhauling aircraft ordnance/armament systems;
Repairing and installing ejection seat components;
Examining aircraft escape systems to determine the depth of rework required;
Interpreting blueprints, schematics, work drawings of various types of aircraft and systems to perform repairs; and
Determining tools and test equipment required to disassemble and or repair aircraft ordnance systems.
