This position is part of the TX USPFO, located in Camp Mabry, Texas. The purpose of this position is to oversee one or more product lines, a segment of a large warehouse, or serve as the senior employee in a smaller warehouse or supply facility. Texas is one of 9 states with NO state income tax.

Duties

As a MATERIALS EXAMINER AND IDENTIFIER (HAZMAT) (Title 32) with the Texas Army National Guard, your duties will include, but will not be limited to: Identifies, receives, sorts, counts, classifies and handles hazardous materials in the USPFO storage areas. Insures the safe receipt, storage and movement of hazardous and toxic materials and substances such as ammunition, explosives, chemicals, or radioactive materials in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements. Responsible to identify, collect, process and consolidate hazardous waste in preparation for disposal. Receives or rejects materiel, equipment, including non-standard equipment, and complex assemblies for the facility based on their knowledge of products, equipment, and procedures as well as having the ability to determine subtle and inconspicuous defects. Determines acceptance, serviceability and distribution requirements for perishable, classified, precious metals, textiles, clothing, complex electronic/mechanical equipment, assemblies and components. Performs a full range of warehousing activities to include receiving, inspecting for defects, storing, selecting and shipping general or specialized bulk and bin materials and equipment. Assists with the development of facility regulations, and operating instructions that relate to hazardous materials management and HAZMAT safety procedures. Performs duties to provide storage and distribution, cataloging or supply identification systems, property utilization, or any other related supply activities including those associated with automated or manual supply accounting systems. Serves as the Precious Metals Recovery Program (PRMP) monitor. Develops, establishes and maintains work center training programs. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications

To be considered for qualification, your resume must include relevant experience with beginning and ending dates of employment/experience reflecting the following: Specialized Experience Required To qualify at the WG-7 grade level, your resume must include relevant experience with beginning and ending dates of employment/experience reflecting 12 months experience or training identifying and sorting a variety of complex materials and equipment and experience receiving materials and equipment, recording, and placing items in proper storage areas. Experience preparing all items for shipment using appropriate agency instructions and experience in mathematical equations. Experience interpreting and using Federal Supply Catalogs, military and manufacturing catalogs, and technical and agency manuals and experience using and operating forklifts and motor vehicles.
