About the Position: Serves as an environmental technical specialist in a Corps of Engineers District Office, Regulatory Branch. This position is located at: US ARMY ENGINEER DISTRICT, BUFFALO TECHNICAL SERVICES DIVISION, REGULATORY BRANCH, STOW FIELD OFFICE, OAK HARBOR, OHIO

Duties

Conducting site visits to assess existing conditions, evaluate risk factors, and ensure compliance with environmental requirements. Performing field inspection related to the processing of applications or permit violations, and inspection of completed works. Gathering, organizing, and interpreting biological/ecological, public use, or other pertinent information. Preparing reports with recommendations for changes, elimination, or improvement of operations and program plans. Reviewing permit applications and supplemental material submitted with application to ensure completeness and clarity of proposed work descriptions. Outlining procedures required to bring nonconforming activities into compliance with permit requirements.
