THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. NEW MEXICO AIR NATIONAL GUARD This National Guard position is for a SUPPORT SERVICES SPECIALIST, Position Description Number T5901800 and is part of the NM 150th SOW Red Horse Squadron, National Guard.

Duties

This position is located in an Air National Guard (ANG) Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operations Repair Squadron Engineer (RED HORSE) Squadron. The primary purpose of this position is to plan, direct, and coordinate administrative activities for the squadron.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
• This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position
• Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.

Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training in administrative, professional, technical, or other work that provided knowledge of support services. Knowledge of administrative methods and procedures used in planning, organizing work, and skill in dealing with others in person-to-person work relationships. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 9 months experience performing support service functions required by the type of position to be filled and the functions of the organization involved. Experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to obtain their cooperation or compliance with procedures, rules or practices. Experience communicating orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner. Experience must include an overall knowledge of support services functions to lead a variety of substantive clerical operations (ie planning, advising, and recommending).
