The primary purpose of this position is to, as an Air Reserve Technician (ART), serve as the Plans and Integration branch supervisor providing technical development of assigned work force and management of wing's readiness/deployment programs. To train reservists in the duties and responsibilities set forth herein.
Duties
Plans, organizes, and manages the day-to-do activities of the Plans and Integration function at base level.
Exercises supervisory and/or personnel management responsibilities less than 25% of the time for one to two subordinate personnel.
Represents the Plans and Integration flight with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
Performs logistics deliberate and adaptive planning processes. Performs deployment, employment, and logistics command and control processes.
Principle advisor to senior leadership on plans and integration issues.

- Position may require incumbent to Fly in military and/or commercial aircraft in the performance of temporary duty (TDY) assignments.
- Required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties: however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities
- Position may require a background security investigation to determine suitability for employment and/or a security clearance. Position requires the incumbent to obtain and retain a minimum secret security clearance.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specializes experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience which may have been gained managing administrative operations of the organization such as issues, program goals and objectives, work processes; applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations; applying laws, regulations, policies and precedents which affect the use of program and related support resources in the area studied; adapting analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to the measurement and improvement of program effectiveness and/or organizational productivity. Conducting analyses of complex functions and work processes; presenting staffing recommendations and negotiating solutions to disputed recommendations.

EDUCATION: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., related degree from an accredited college or university NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF TRANSCRIPTS.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100 percent. To combine education and experience, determine the total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level. Then determine the education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level. Finally, add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF TRANSCRIPTS.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of a wide range of logistics management operations in supply and transportation policies, practices, and techniques including knowledge of organization and commercial transportation programs, storage and materials equipment policies, preservation, packaging, and cargo movement and materiel management.
Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
Ability to plan, organizes, and directs the functions and mentor, motivate, and apprise the staff of an organization.
Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, makes appropriate judgments, and evaluates options concerning cargo movement and materiel management.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct a small sized organization.
Other Significant Facts:
May be required to work overtime and extended tours of duty to meet special workload demands.
Use of personal protective equipment is used as needed or required.
Position will not be assigned additional duties such as Unit Deployment Manager (UDM) or Unit Control Center that conflict with their primary duties.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
