Duties

The Congressional Research Service (CRS) seeks a Research Librarian for the Research & Library Services Section of the Domestic Social Policy Division. The section broadly supports the work of Congress in issue areas including health care, education, labor, immigration, housing, income security, veterans benefits, child welfare, and nutrition assistance.

Applicants must have had progressively responsible experience and training sufficient in scope and quality to furnish them with an acceptable level of the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision. Ability to apply knowledge of research resources in domestic social policy** Ability to conduct information research** Ability to communicate in writing** Ability to utilize information technology Ability to interact collaboratively with others Ability to focus on the client Ability to communicate effectively other than in writing.
