This position is located in the Domestic Training Branch (DTB), Training Program Management Division (TPM), Foreign Affairs Security Training Center (FASTC), Directorate of Training (T), Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS), Department of State (DoS). You will be responsible for planing and organizing the delivery of the full range of services provided in the assigned program areas and provides expert advice and guidance on DTB DS-sponsored training.
Duties
Provides expert advice on training curriculum planning and training program design and development.
Formulates and monitors training mission goals and objectives.
Initiates and, if applicable, leads a team to conduct special projects or in-depth studies for training, including studies where the boundaries may be extremely broad and difficult to determine in advance.
Advises policy boards and other groups responsible for developing policies and standards; identifies problems pertaining to training program policies, regulations, or procedures.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all the qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction to successfully perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience overseeing the design, development and implementation of new training courses.
Experience developing short and long-range project plans and strategies to meet training program/project requirements.
Experience advising policy boards and other groups responsible for developing training policies and standards.
Note: Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s); supervising or administering a training program; development or review of training / course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results; or work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.
