You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER in the Naval Air Warfare Center System Acquisition Group of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Duties

You will provide program management and operational expertise to NAVAIR and maintains a close working relationship with the warfighter. You will provide the personnel, facilities, and processes required to implement integrated programs for current and future NAVAIR program offices as well as for Navy, DoD, and other government agencies. You will provide expert programmatic strategic direction and leadership for a staff of senior program managers, analysts, acquisition specialists and team leaders. You will be a direct representative of NAWCAD for many aspects affecting program management. They may also be responsible for implementation and communication of NAWCAD initiatives to internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for ensuring that the quality of product solutions, technical documentation, and management items meet or exceed customer expectations. You will do other duties as assigned.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing a wide range of technical and business systems, processes, and practices used to manage and maintain continuity of business operations; 2) Reviewing, analyzing, and implementing higher level business and resource processes, procedures, and policies; 3) Managing project/program requirements, objectives and metrics, and resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources; 4) Identifying opportunities to incorporate process improvements and best practices utilizing customer feedback, internal and external audits, self-assessment, and lessons learned activities ensuring efficient business operations, financial operations, and general administrative management for the Department ; 5) Advising management and colleagues on difficult problems, conducting special studies, proposing options and alternatives, and representing the Department. 6) Advising leadership and department supervisory and operations staff with regard to EEO policies and communicating support of these policies to department personnel.
