This position is located at the Home Based Primary Care Office, Boise, ID. The Administrative Support Assistant performs various administrative and clerical duties in support of the service.
Duties

Major duties include but are not limited to:
Coordinates and provides administrative support;
Schedules and manages appointments;
Receives visitors and phone calls both for the service and the service Chief;
Composes and prepares correspondence, forms, letters, memos, reports, computer-related data, specifications, and similar material;
Coordinates meetings;
Composes and distributes meeting minutes;
Maintains office supplies and equipment;
Serves as the timekeeper for the service;
Receives and reviews all incoming correspondence; and
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.

Qualifications
This position requires a current and valid state issued motor vehicle operator's license.
To qualify for this position at the GS-6 level, applicants must meet the following:
Specialized Experience: You must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-5) in Federal Service, that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the Administrative Support Assistant, GS-6 position, and that is typically in or related to the work of this position. Specialized experience includes: performing a full range of administrative support for an office; receiving visitors and phone calls; reviewing all incoming and outgoing correspondence; scheduling meetings; and utilizing office automation software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending carrying of items such as papers, books, small parts or driving an automobile etc. At times, the position requires carrying supplies and equipment not to exceed 50 pounds. This position is required to maintain a valid drivers license. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts, which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, or libraries. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. The work environment also includes environments associated with vehicle operations and inspections.
