About the Position: This position is to provide paralegal and office automation support to the Chief Counsel, Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), who is responsible for the legal support to the Command's headquarters, seven MICC Contracting Centers, and 29 Installation Directorates of Contracting geographically dispersed throughout the Continental United States.

Duties

Manages/monitors the electronic Executive Branch Confidential Financial Disclosure reports and electronic Executive Personnel Public Financial Disclosure Report using the Financial Disclosure Management website. Track compliance with ethics training requirements to include updating and maintaining paralegal desk book. Perform legal research, to include searching for and summarizing relevant case materials, law reviews, published studies and similar materials. Prepare litigation reports for attorneys for Federal civil litigations, such as preparation of opinions, briefs and other legal documents. Execute awards, budgets, supporting travel requirements, and similar office management responsibilities. Log in, task, track, analyze, as appropriate, and respond to Freedom of Information Act requests; track and report delinquent responses to the Chief Counsel. Prepare opinions and correspondence or the Chief Counsel's signature.

Specialized experience is defined as: conducting extensive and thorough legal research using Federal Law and regulation, and administrative publications; maintain records for all financial disclosure filers and maintain accurate database to ensure timely filing of mandatory ethics reports to include maintaining automated suspense files; provide paralegal support to attorneys and investigating officers for various administrative investigations; and administer the legal office's support mission related to administrative investigations including commander's inquiries and support the Chief Counsel for Freedom of Information Act requests.
