About the Position: This position is located Army Health Clinic Ireland, Department of Radiology. May be required to work in various sections such as MRI, ultrasound, diagnostics, radiology, and mammography. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

The incumbent performs the full range of receptionist, recordkeeping, and miscellaneous clerical duties within the ambulatory setting. Enters, manipulates, and/or retrieves information and data from automated systems. Complete request forms, manually or automated, for individual patient orders, blood work, and other requests. Maintains and monitors patient appointment schedules for the clinic/practice. Complete request forms, manually or automated, for individual patient orders, blood work, and other requests. Monitor and communicates delays in scheduled appointments to the appropriate staff and patients.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
• Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
• This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled.
• May be required to obtain a pre-employment physical.
• May require rotating shifts.
• This position may require Temporary Duty Travel of 5%.
• Must be a Qualified Typist.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing receptionist, recordkeeping, and miscellaneous clerical duties within the clinic such as entering, manipulates, and/or retrieves information and data from automated systems; completes request forms for items such as individual patient orders, blood work, and other requests. Maintain and monitors patient appointment schedules for the clinic.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
