This position is located within Community Care (CC) at the Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center (VAACC), Columbus, Ohio.
Duties

Major duties and responsibilities include:
Extracts data from various software programs to create statistical diagrams and workflow charts;
Compiles weekly and monthly cost estimate reports;
Provides detailed reports to management to improve timeliness, accuracy, and consistency of community care authorization and reconciliation activities;
Reviews, gathers, and assembles data from software systems;
Monitors, review, and report consult scheduling performance and consult resolution activities;
Corrects scheduling errors;
Coordinates with Information Technology (IT) staff to maintain and manage systems;
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday 08:00am - 4:30pm

Qualifications
ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY: In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(d), No person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English. You must be proficient in basic written and spoken English in order to meet the requirements of this position. ~AND~
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-6: At least one (1) year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position, and that is typically in or related to the work of this position? To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-5 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes: Reviewing, gathering, assembling, and extracting data from various software programs; Compiling weekly and monthly cost estimate reports; Verifying authorizations were approved by management; Preparing minutes from dictation and, hand-written notes.

IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: The work is sedentary and requires no special physical demands.
The work environment involves everyday risk or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, or public spaces. The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated.
