You will serve as a TELECOMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT in the Corporate Business & Analysis Group, Digital, Information, Technology, Analysis & Cyber Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Duties

You will assist in ensuring telecommunication products and services are provided to customers and that projects are executed in accordance with planned fiscal budgets. You will monitor all service tickets as they relate to the telephone shop. You will assist with system upgrades and provide the contractor with clarifications on the technical requirements of the contract. You will validate billing on Cellular device and peripheral procurements, perform monthly tracking of wireless and desk phones, and ensure base telephone office (BTO) activities are within the scope of contract requirements and thresholds.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05/06) or pay band (DG-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Analyzing telecommunications and/or technical problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; 2) Plan and organize work for an organization; 3) Communicating technical and non-technical information orally and in writing to various audiences.
