Duties
Provides procedural and administrative guidance to Site Support Office Divisions concerning functional and operational areas requiring corrective action and objective recommendations for improving record management effectiveness in assigned areas.
Receives, tracks, and assists with the review of incoming correspondence and other reports for the Director. Prepares correspondence covering subject of an administrative nature. Tracks personnel, supply, and other administrative transactions.
Manages Director?s calendar and schedules meetings. Reschedules appointments when it is clear the Director will not make all commitments.
Establishes and maintains office files and other related items that may be needed in the operation of the office. Ensures files have all pertinent documents and signatures. Maintains file system to enable efficient retrieval of information.
Responsible for assisting with input of HR personnel actions (RPAs) and other staffing assistant duties.

Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-06) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as: providing a variety of clerical, administrative, and technical support including scheduling appointments, maintaining inventory supplies, and managing office files.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-06 or higher grade in Federal Service.
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
Education
GS-07 Substitution of Education for Experience: One full year of graduate level education may be substituted to meet the specialized experience required when it is directly related to the work of the position being filled. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
