You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST in the NAVY MUNITIONS COMMAND PACIFIC EAST ASIA DIVISION of NMCPAC EAD DET PEARL HARBOR.
Duties
You will ensure that inspections, inventories, processing, and handling of ordnance are performed in accordance with approved procedures and are in compliance with the specifications or individual test requirements.
You will provide quality assurance support for all receipt, issue, storage, transportation, and maintenance functions performed at the Command.
You will support storage, handling, and processing of ordnance and ordnance related materials at West Loch branch annexes.
You will ensure that assigned programs adhere to established ordnance munitions QA policy.
You will coordinate with government agencies to ensure compliance with proper ordnance quality assurance programs and policies.
You will apply various methods and techniques for investigating, analyzing, and effective corrective action on quality programs.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- You may be required to climb ladders and scaffolding.
- This position requires that the selectee have visual acuity and accurate color discrimination.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing quality assurance audits of munition ordnance operations (maintenance, handling and storage) to identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions ensuring compliance with quality assurance regulatory policies.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree related to the position being filled ( Ex. quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or other fields related to the position.)
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
