Duties

You will ensure material and equipment is appropriately configured. You will determine when to requisition the stock levels, and the quantities needed based on direct input from customers, usage patterns and trends. You will identify potential discrepancies and take appropriate action to ensure accuracy of the Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) based on input from warehouse personnel. You will perform a variety of technical support duties related to maintaining company accounts and records, completing transactions, providing customer assistance, screening reference files, conducting data searches, and distributing output files. You will update databases with information provided from various sources and use data to respond to concerns or requests for information. You will identify transactions errors and failures, and make appropriate corrections. You will extract and assemble data for use in making requisitions, and prepare and submits on-time and special requisitions. You will type letters, reports, tabulated material, memoranda, and other related documentation in either rough draft or final form. You will use databases or spreadsheet software to enter, revise, sorts or calculate and retrieve data for standard reports and use graphics software to provided graphic symbols, charts, and graphs for viewgraphs or paper presentations.

  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: ensuring material and equipment is appropriately configured; maintaining accuracy of supply records; using automated supply databases; AND following supply regulations, policies and procedures. Education

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successfully completed four years of education above high school.

OR

Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.

Education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school.

For GS-5 level positions (except Clerk-Stenographer, which does not require specialized experience), only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience.
