Qualifications

For GS-13: Applicants must meet the following to qualify for the GS-13 level: Possess one year of specialized experience in or directly related to this position that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. To be creditable, the required specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service. Examples of GS-12 level work include: counseling, interviewing, researching, and resolving complex EEO discrimination complaints; identifying major barriers; conducting full range of EEO training; developing EEO policy/procedural recommendations; providing leadership in development/implementation of affirmative action plans; planning and implementing special emphasis programs. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements for the position by the closing date of the announcement.

Education

• Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
