About the Position: Serves in the Laboratory Sciences Directorate, Laboratory Operations Division, Contracts and Procurement Office (CPO). This position is in the Defense Health Agency Public Health, Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. Duties

Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employee. Evaluate work performance of subordinates, gives advice, counsel, or instruction to employee on both word and administrative matters. Serve the laboratory?s procurement manager, providing management oversight to the laboratory billing process and the Laboratory Central Supply Area (CSA). Manage short- and long-range laboratory operational plans for the laboratory procurement process and procedures. Identify and investigate laboratory procurement problems and suggest process improvements.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Up to 25% Business Travel is required.
• One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
• One year trial/probationary period may be required.
